Verification of what we hear and see!

How many times do we actually verify if what we heard from someone, or what we read or what we saw, is actually the right information?

Recently I tried to pay attention to that. It happens quite often that someone tells me that a colleague did this or that or something more general about something that happened in the news. The first we could call gossip in some cases, the second should be objective, right?

In both cases I believe we should not just take information just as it is. Try to verify if it is true. Be curious! If someone says a certain product is not available anymore, don’t just believe that person! Check if that really is true. Same with people, who tell you a certain colleague is a horrible person. Experience a conversation with the horrible colleague and decide yourself.

And then our so-called media, that seem to be objective. Nothing is hundred percent objectified, so if possible try to verify what you hear in the news as well. Either with asking people more directly involved with that news, or checking other sources as well.

We often don’t do this and this makes us very shortsighted. We take things for granted and sometimes we regret this later on.

So let’s take a view from the other side and then again from another side, keeps us active ;-)!
